Taylor County Woman Injured After a Collision With A Deer on 210

A Campbellsville woman injured Wednesday night after a deer jumped into the path of her automobile on highway 210, Taylor County Sheriff Allen Newton told 99.9 The Big Dawg that Angela Haywood age 42 was traveling in the Old Mac Area when the deer ran into the path of her vehicle, Haywood was taken to Taylor Regional Hospital, the accident occurred at 8:20pm Wednesday night and was investigated by Brent Burkhead and Mark Dicken with the Taylor County Sheriffs Department.

Russell County Man Killed in UTV Accident on Monday

 

 On September 26, 2022 at approximately 5:19 P.M. CST, Kentucky State Police Post 15 Troopers responded to a two-vehicle injury collision on East KY 80 in Russell County.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Rylie Kean, age 27 of Russell Springs, was traveling west on East KY 80 in a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica van when she struck a 2017 Yamaha Wolverine UTV that had pulled onto East KY 80 from Foley Rd.  The Yamaha Wolverine was being operated by Edward Robertson, age 70 of Russell Springs.  

Mr. Robertson was transported to Russell County hospital where he was pronounced deceased by the Russell County Coroner.

KSP Post 15 Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Russell County Sheriff's Office, Jamestown Police Department, Russell County EMS and Fire, and the Russell County Coroner. The collision remains under investigation by Tpr. Dean Lunz.

Adair County Man Airlifted After Sunday Morning Wreck in Taylor County

The Taylor County Sheriffs Department investigated a two vehicle accident Sunday morning on Highway 55 (New Columbia Road) sheriff Allen Newton told 99.9 The Big Dawg News that Eric Rowe age 37 of Columbia collided with an auto driven by Greg Ratliff age 64 of Columbia, Ratliff was not injured, Rowe was airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington.

The mishap occurred at 8:53am Sunday morning and investigated by deputy Josh Patrick with the Taylor County Sheriff Department.

Marion County Man Died in Friday Motorcycle Crash

A Marion County man died after wrecking his motorcycle Friday evening, Big Dawg Radio News has learned that Jon Samuel David Beyer age 25 of Lebanon lost control of his bike while attempting to pass an automobile on Miller Pike in Lebanon, Beyer was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge.

Taylor County Man Killed in Friday Morning Accident

 On September 23, 2022 at approximately 8:18 A.M. EST, Kentucky State Police Post 15 Troopers responded to a two-vehicle injury collision on Bengal Rd. in Taylor County.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Cheryl Ann Sanders, age 57 of Campbellsville, was traveling east on Bengal Rd. in a 2013 Honda Odyssey when she struck a Kubota UTV traveling east on Bengal Rd. in the rear.  The Kubota UTV was being operated by Jason Jones, age 69 of Campbellsville.  

Mr. Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Taylor County Coroner.

KSP Post 15 Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Taylor County Sheriff's Office, Taylor County EMS and Fire, and the Taylor County Coroner. The collision remains under investigation by Tpr. Brandon Roark.

Senator Max Wise Will Be Candidate For Lt Governor

Last night before a large crowd Kelly Craft candidate for Governor of Kentucky announced that she has chosen Max Wise as her Lt Governor, Craft said that Wise has all the qualities that she is looking for in a running mate and that Wise will serve Kentucky. The event was held Wednesday night at Swans Landing in Campbellsville. 

Two Vehicle Accident at Black Gnat Injures One Person on Tuesday

The Green County Sheriffs Department investigated a two vehicle crash on US 68 Campbellsville Road in Green County Tuesday afternoon, sheriff  Robby Beard told 99.9 The Big Dawg that an auto driven by Adena Wilson of Greensburg crossed the center line and collided with an auto operated by Debra Thornton of Greensburg, Beard said that Wilson was not injured, Thornton was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital. The mishap occurred Tuesday afternoon in the Black gnat community and was investigated by sheriff Robby Beard.

Head On Collision Investigated by TC Sheriffs Department

The Taylor County Sheriffs Department investigated a head on collision early Saturday morning on highway 68 New Lebanon Road, sheriff Allen Newton told 99.9 The Big Dawg news that a automobile operated by Shawn Evans of Gravel Switch was driving on the wrong side of the road when he stuck vehicle driven by David Ball age 61 of Campbellsville head on, Ball was treated at the scene and released, Evans was airlifted to U of L Hospital. the head on collision occurred Saturday morning  at 1:25am and was investigated by Deputy Brent Burkhead with the Taylor County Sheriffs Department. 

Greensburg Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Taylor County

The Taylor County Sheriffs Department investigated a motorcycle accident just after midnight Sunday morning, sheriff  Allen Newton told 99.9 The Big Dawg news that Blake Loyal age 18 of Greensburg lost control of his bike on Old Mac Pitman Road, Loyal was treated at the scene by Campbellsville-Taylor County EMS and airlifted from the scene to U of L Hospital in Louisville. the accident occurred at 12:14am and was investigated by Deputy Brent Burkhead.

Tree Fire in Campbellsville Extinguished By Firemen

 

 

Campbellsville Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a report of a possible tree on fire this morning just after 1am at 106 Brook Street in Campbellsville, upon arrival firefighters found a large tree on fire. chief Chris Taylor told 99.9 The Big Dawg that firefighters used 1000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.

Fire Alarm Sounded Early Today in Campbellsville, House Received Heavy Damage

 

Campbellsville Fire-Rescue was dispatched to 612 Shawnee drive to the a report of a possible shed fire with exposure to a house. Upon arrival, firefighters found a shed fully involved with the rear of the house and attic with heavy flames and smoke showing. Firefighters searched for occupants, extinguished the fire and provided overhaul. No firefighters or civilian injuries were reported, the cause of the fire is believed to be faulty wiring in the outbuilding. 

The alarm was at 2:20am this morning.

Tractor vs Car Wreck on Bengal Road

Taylor County Sheriffs Department investigated a collision between a tractor and a pickup truck on Thursday, sheriff Allen Newton told 99.9 The Big Dawg that Michael Rakes age 53 of Campbellsville was operating a tractor on Bengal road when he turned into the path of a GMC truck driven by Deborah Calhoon age 53 of Campbellsville. Rakes was not injured Calhoon was taken to Taylor Regional Hospital, the mishap was investigated by deputy Andrew Regan with the Taylor County Sheriffs Department.

Motorcycle Chase From Campbellsville to Greensburg, Man Arrested.

A Campbellsville man was arrested last week after leading police on a high speed chase on a motorcycle, Taylor County Sheriff Allen Newton said that Corporal Steven Dobson observed Robert B. Linton age 26 traveling at a high rate of speed on a motorcycle on Greensburg road, Dobson pursued the motorcycle where the chase ended in Greensburg. Linton was charged with fleeing police, speeding 26 over the limit, reckless driving...

The incident occurred on September 8 at 3:30pm, Greensburg City Police assisted.

Campbellsville Man Arrested Friday Faces Multiple Charges

A man fleeing police Friday morning was arrested after crashing his vehicle, State Police Columbia arrested Gerald Ashbrook age 32 of Campbellsville on charged of speeding 15 mph over the limit, fleeing police, improperly driving on left side of the road, DUI, reckless driving, receiving stolen property and other traffic charges. Ashbrook was arrested by Dexter Colvin with KSP and lodged in the Taylor County Jail.
